Fashionology could not sustain with their outrageous prices through these horrible economic times. That is why places like Tween Scene Boutique in Santa Monica are staying alive and thriving. They are designed to cater to tweens, yet at the prices necessary for parents to feel ok about spending. Tween Scene is a resale/new clothing store which hosts birthday parties and other events. www.shoptweenscene.com

Thanks for your comment Briar Rose. While some of their items were pricey, they offered a really cool experience that others did not - customizing one's own clothing items. Prices ranged from $7-42, and while add-ons could drive up the cost, it was a great place for a special day out or birthday (maybe not an everyday thing).
Even with their backing they are closing - so many smaller stores are as well - things are hard all around.
